While you can get a one size fits all sleep training lesson in a book, having someone like Jamie walk us through all the stuff you can't plan for that is specific to your child was invaluable.

Jamie changed our lives! Our ten month old was bed sharing with us (actually, mostly with me because my husband had started sleeping most nights in the guest room so that at least one of us could get some sleep), and waking to nurse frequently (like 8+ times). He also had reflux so the frequent nursing was leading to more discomfort and therefore more wakings and a vicious cycle. Also, it took forever to get him to sleep at bedtime and then me or my husband had to hold him to keep him asleep. All this was really taking a toll on our relationship and we didn't have enough time for our 3 year old.
Jamie asked us what our goals were and I said to have him sleeping through the night in his own crib and going to sleep on his own at bedtime, but to get him there as gently as possible. She walked us through the sleep lady shuffle and a plan for dream feeding to night wean him slowly (I was ready to night wean) then waited until we found the right time to start.
Once we started we had multiple questions every morning and Jamie was always very responsive and knowledgeable. While you can get a one size fits all sleep training lesson in a book, having someone like Jamie walk us through all the stuff you can't plan for that is specific to your child was invaluable. After a few weeks my LO was going to sleep on his own at bedtime with less than a minute of crying and sleeping consistently through the night without feeding. And we were able to help him get there rather than leaving him to figure it out for himself. My husband and I now get to spend our evenings together and sleep all night in the same bed! If we have another baby I will definitely hire Jamie again to help us all get more sleep!
Everything is going great! Napping at least an hour, lights off with a nightlight, and sleeping through the night until the green light at 6:15am. I think we've turned a corner with her! Whew! You are a miracle worker!
